I could not come up with an effective workaround. Well, I'm not sure that I really buy that Windows 10's core hasn't really changed from Windows 8. I'd be willing to bet that it works just fine if it could just install. It won't install because Cyberlink appears to have revoked the certificate for Windows 10 so that it won't even allow you to install it -- perhaps as a pre-emptive measure "just in case" because they haven't tested it.
I'd sort of like the opportunity to install at my own risk and test it myself. I don't appreciate having it locked up so that I cannot even try this. I'm so annoyed right now that I'm inclined to just go buy a competitor's product. A concern I have is that if I'm pushed to upgrade to a newer release which also happened when going from Windows 7 to 8, though that was a more substantial change to the OS core and understandable , I will again want to take advantage of upgrade pricing, which again will probably require that an earlier version already be installed, and that's at this point absolutely impossible with the certificate having been revoked.

Please let us know which one you tried and work in Windows 10 and if it is cost effective as compared to a later update to PowerDVD. By the way, the latest version of PowerDVD is 15 so you are many versions behind. Contact Cyberlink Support to see if they will give you an exemption to install what you want at your own risk. If you were tech support for Cyberlink would you want a lot of people uploading the program to Windows 10 and then having to call to get the problem fixed?

Creating another instance in my Kaspersky, also not helped. Shutting down Windows Firewall and Kaspersky and downloading it again, still have not helped. Jan 03, Happy New Year SteveK, My comments about being unhelpful were because the problem ChrisJ was having appears to be with installation, a point you appeared to be missing.
The issue, as it manifested to me as well, was installing AFTER a Windows 10 upgrade and then having the extra security checks in this version of the OS preventing installation without trusted supplier certification. Something I think that Cyberlink should address even if these are not the current versions of the product.

What I've not said yet, was that I was trying to install Power Director When I've tried to get it through my account using the updater, then it was telling me that the Cyber link is not trusted by Windows I've done numerous thing with the updater file.
Adding it to Firewall. Rebooting my laptop after that, then turning off my Firewall completely, even, removing that file while Firewall was off and downloading the updater file again and trying to run it, without the Windows Firewall on. The issue was the same, meaning Win10 doesn't have Cyber link certificates. Supprisingly the installation was successfully but when I was trying to update it, the link directly from the Power Director was broken, and again the updater downloaded directly from the Website, is not trusted by Win Other issue I'm facing now, since my new laptop has almost 4K resolution, all the texts on the Power Director are so tiny , that I can't even read it.
